"Dunyana" is an Arabic name meaning "Our World". The Dunyana Dance Ensemble is a collective of dancers who, under Amantha's direction, explore contemporary American Bellydance through a world perspective. Employing traditional Middle Eastern dance and music along with contemporary and multicultural influences, The Dunyana Dance Ensemble explores timeless human emotional experience. Amantha and The Dunyana Dance Ensemble have created two full-scale theatrical shows for The New York Public Library Donnell Media Center. The Ensemble also performs in cabaret and concert settings and conveys drama, passion, humor and transcendance with their unique performance style.
